Considering Akaris' point do we need to jump realm asap? I understand that those of you with alts will want to use the free transfer, but anyone that doesnt log on very often is not likely to hav alts and so could transfer for free anyway (is that a fair assumption?).
I definatly think we should be looking to change realms, theres been a lot of niggling bits to SH since I joined so a change of scenery may be good for everyone Very Happy
I'll check back later to see if any developments have been made. but for now, im off clothes shopping for my honeymoon Sad

Akaris - is this 6 moths for free transfers only? I belive PCT (paid character transfer) has only 30 days cool down unless this all has been changed recently.

Etin - the thing is that we are now eligible for FREE character transfer and this needs to be done within given time frame. We have been given a chance to move on for free onto two different realms (only 2 so our choice is very limited!) - Haomarush in Rampage BG and Chromaggus in Reckoning BG. This free transfer offer may end tomorrow at 10 am if Blizz decides not to extend it to Tuesday.

That's why we need to do it asap if we decide to go. It might be already too late as they may close it tomorrow at 10am. If they extend free migration till Tuesday then we will have enough time to let everyone know and move on so that noone's left behind.

There's also PCT - Paid Character Transfer. When you use PCT you can transfer to any realm (not sure about full ones) but you have to pay for it. Now imagine some of us having 2 or 3 alts (or more!)- you have to pay for every single character when you want to move outside 'free migration'. The cost of PCT is £15 (or €20) so you see why we would like to jump on that 'free' train asap. For me it would be €60 out of my pocket for Buc and my 2 alts and I'm not going to pay for this Smile Would be better to re-roll from scratch and save €60 for something else Smile

That's the reason for this rush. If we decide to go, we have to go now as it will be closed tomorrow at 10am or on Tuesday (if it'll be tomorrow it's too late anyway). If we won't then we will have to wait for next free migration (God only know when...) or pay for PCT which is a big no-no for me with my alts and Nahi's toons as it would easily end up at €100+...

EDIT:

Here's PCT explained:

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/faq/paidcharactertransfer.html

1 month CD and not all realms will be accessable. There are some gold amount restrictions too for different levels Smile

But thats PCT - what we try to do is free Smile

I stand corrected - That link you posted Buc, says " An individual character may only be transferred once every month. "

Just remeber that transfers are character based * NOT * account based. I.e. As many or few as you like, aslong as they're illegiable(?).

Also, i'd like to point out that i think it may be best that Buc transfers first.

Why?

So that it goes as smooth as possible.

How so?

Example: We've disbanded the guild, we're in the transfer process, we can't log in to talk. Some may have to change their name.
This could cause some problems, just from name changes alone.

Atleast with Buc there we can have a straight forward; whisper Buc's char to join the guild.
Saves us standing around looking and waiting for news.

Oh, I know why - don't try to fool me Evil or Very Mad I'll transfer and everyone will go ''YAY! Now he's gone for good Very Happy Bring few barrles of whiskey and let's start the party!!! It'll be at least a month till he's back!!!''

lol!

On a serious note (not that I was joking above or sumtin...) we should all check on Armory whether there are toons with our names on that realm. Of course chances are that there's some lvl1-9 toon with the name we have and it's not on armory but it' worth to have a look.

I think if we decide to move we will set a day to do this (probably Sunday/Monday if migration will be extended) and I can go first but at the begining we will have to add everyone coming to new place to friends list untill we have 10 lads there to sign new charter and form new guild Smile Only then we will be able to invite individuals into guild so would be good if at least 9 other people transfer with me at the same time and we agree that we meet in 2h on new realm (for example as transfer is usually instant but might take up to 1h). Then we could form Guild once more and start getting people back on board Smile

If we move I'll move Buc first and leave my alts to stay in touch on old realm with others Smile

I'll send in-game mail that we are moving if maintenance is extended. I think Sunday evening might be the best time to do this Smile

Hmm, I'd better get a few more names just in case Razz Chromaggus sounds good from what I've read from this thread and once again I'm transfering if you guys are. lol!

If recruiting would be easier on Chromaggus, I'd say we should probably move. No new members for ages. Sad Another thing that really matters is the battlegroup. There will always be good and bad players on every realm there is so it's not a big deal, we'll find competitive (spelling?) duelaholics there Wink

If you can't understand what a finnish guy is saying, he's probably just swearing.
